February 2016 trip!

Hello,

For general information about similar trips and policies, please visit www.ampedforeducation.org

Student perspective on a past trip: http://baseballinnicaragua.blogspot.com/

Here is some information discussed at the meeting Sept 30 at 6pm at Smith Academy.

Soccer?
While many of the people on this trip will play soccer against Nicaraguan teams, both formally and informally, there are many other opportunities for others during the time of the game. For example, if there's a small group of people who are interested in watching one of the games, but not playing, we can go ziplining, hike a volcano, learn how to make chocolate, etc while the other half of the group plays soccer.

If you ARE interested in soccer, we will play 4-5 games. Some will be informal with kids in a rural area, while others will be organized with referees on some (hopefully) college-style fields. Here is a video from a baseball trip that we ran. You may recognize some WMass faces..
