Our itinerary

Monday February 16 - Day 1
Land in Managua, head to Granada and check into the hostel.

Tuesday February 17 - Day 2
The group will head out on a walking tour of Pantanal in the morning, where our projects are based. After that, they'll take a boat tour of Lake Nicaragua, then eat dinner in downtown Granada.

Wednesday February 18 - Day 3
The group will volunteer for a few hours in the morning at the Learning Center and will be able to spend some time with the students there painting a mural on the walls of the small storage structure. Afterwards, they'll go to the rec program, a short walk away, from 2-4pm. Dinner will be at the Amped house in Granada.

Thursday February 19 - Day 4
The group will volunteer in Pantanal again, this time by building tables and chairs that will be used by students at the larger learning center (which we'll begin construction on this year). Dinner again at the Amped house.

Friday February 20 - Day 5
Volunteering building tables and chairs, as well as at the rec program, and dinner out in Granada.

Saturday February 21 - Day 6
Volunteering building tables and chairs, lunch at Ramona's (who lives across from the Learning Center and is a supporter and advocate of Amped in the community). Then, the group will sleep at the high school nearby that Amped helped build. Dinner will be brought by a local woman who has cooked for many volunteer groups in the past.

Sunday February 22 - Day 7
The group will pack up and visit Masaya Volcano, Coyotepe, and the Masaya markets with students from the Learning Center. That night everyone will go to Apoyo Lagoon and stay at a hostel there on the edge of the lagoon.

Spend the day at Apoyo Lagoon. There will be an option to go ziplining during the day.

Tuesday February 24 - Day 9
The group will leave early to head to the airport and back to the US.
